L.A. Acting Workshop began over thirty
years ago in Los Angeles, California with the vision of training aspiring actors to compete successfully for television and
film roles. Under the efforts of Amy Allen, Director, with over thirty years of entertainment industry experience,
the workshop has grown by leaps and bounds, eventually making its way to Orlando, Florida where it enjoys the reputation of
being Orlando’s top professional workshop for on-camera training.
Today, L.A. Acting Workshop embodies everything that one
needs to succeed in today’s highly competitive acting market. It is a full-service house, offering turn-key solutions
for actors of all ages. Their concept is threefold: offer the training and skills needed to prepare, inspire and encourage
the passion within, and offer the keys needed to open the door and make the dream a reality.
Training is the foundation upon
which the workshop was built. Classes are offered for adults, professionals, teens, and children in acting skills, on-camera
audition technique, commercials, voice-over technique, and improvisation. Instructors at L.A. Acting Workshop are highly
experienced in their respective fields and bring the best to those wanting to refine and polish their given talent.
Passion and inspiration
are the driving forces for success in the entertainment industry. It is widely known that to “succeed” in
film and television is a rare occurrence, and most actors spend their lives searching for their “big break”.
L.A. Acting Workshop’s The L.A. Backstage Tour, is a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the Hollywood acting scene, to help make that success a reality.
Now embarking on its 12th Tour, the tour has inspired many actors from around the country to pursue their dreams while also
providing a realistic look at the obstacles that may lie in their paths. As well as back-lot studio tours and live show
tapings, the jewel of The L.A. Backstage Tour’s crown is the opportunity to audition live
in front of many of Hollywood’s finest talent agents, casting directors, and managers under the guidance of renowned
L.A and New York acting coach Bob Luke. These professionals offer their explicit guidance, advice, and insight into the workings of the industry.
Participants not only receive the opportunity to showcase their talents, but are also given time to network with the people
who can make a difference in their careers. While thousands of starving actors flock to Hollywood seeking a chance for
even a simple interview with these “movers-and-shakers”, The L.A. Backstage Tour allows
you to move to the front of the line without the usual related stress and expense.
