This class provides an
atmosphere of freedom and fun where children get a chance to express their unique creativity in a theatrical way. Through
threatre games and exercises such as storytelling, improvisation, ensemble activities, mask work, mime, and scriptwork, children
will learn the basics of acting and character development and gain more confidence, self-worth and cooperation skills.
Frequent showcases will give the children an opportunity to perform for family, friends, and industry professionals, highlighting
their newly developing skills of creativity.
The L.A. Acting Youth Players meet during the
academic year from September through May. New students are invited to a free introductory class!
It is essential that children take a minimum of 3 months of classes
in order to develop a firm foundation of learning and to understand the theatrical skills designed within the workshop. Secondary,
there is an essential trust that is developed within their peer group and instructor as they begin to develop their performance
skills in rehearsal and presentation.
